Beef Bone Broth

Time: ~ 25 hrs

Servings: 40oz (5 jars)

Equipment

Ingredients 

  • 5 lbs beef bones

  • 1 red onion, thickly sliced

  • 2 carrots, chopped

  • 3 celery stalks, chopped

  • 1 bay leaf

  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar

  • Cold filtered water

Instructions 

Prep

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

  • Spread out the bones on the baking sheet.

  • Cook for 30 minutes, flip, and cook for another 30 minutes.

Cook

  • Add all ingredients to the crockpot.

  • Top with water.

  • Set on low for 24 hrs.

  • Strain and remove all ingredients.

  • Skim off any fat.

  • Store in jars for one week in the fridge or 6 months in the freezer.
